The MeatPacking rugs are delightful limited editions resulting from research into the expressive power of color and tactile textures; the space would appear to be geometrically reorganized, exploded around them.
In the Meatpacking Patchwork version, bands of color depict the scenes, swathes of style that are distant yet close, routine and every day. Something always new, a collection of one-off pieces, created using vintage rugs 30-50 years old; they have been stripped of color, dyed and reassembled with stitching that respects the different components. The vast color range includes 23 different shades and the rug’s versatility is expanded thanks to the possibility of creating any shape or size.
The model MeatPacking Antique Hemp is produced using reclaimed antique canvases in hemp fibers. The natural sheen of this quality natural fiber and its excellent resistance to wear and tear transforms the rug into a unique visual and tactile experience.
