Christchurch interior designer continues to impress on London stage

“Interior design has to be one of the hardest design disciplines to impress on an international level. The sheer size and opulence of many projects in London and Europe are tough competition for New Zealanders.

But, for the fifth consecutive year, Christchurch interior designer Ben Lewis of Trenzseater has been shortlisted for the International Design & Architecture Awards, hosted by design et al magazine in London.

This year’s project was commissioned by Garry Mayne Architecture, says Lewis. “We were updating furnishings on a project that was architecturally designed – it’s a project we have previously been involved with. We were briefed to finish various spaces by updating the furnishings and introducing new furniture, lighting and accessories to give the project a more complete, curated look, style and feel.””
